PDL accuses NGOs in stray dogs problem

The Democrat-Liberal Party (PDL)’s Bucharest organization argued yesterday that NGOs militating against PDL’s bill on the stray dog problem greatly misinform the public opinion when they refer to a bill which would impose euthanasia as the only solution. PDL claims there can be only two possible explanations for this attitude of the NGOs: either their representatives haven’t read the bill and are not familiar with its provisions or they are not really interested in solving the stray dog problem. The vote on the bill which would allow authorities to euthanise stray dogs was adjourned once again last week in the Chamber of Deputies, which was to give the final vote on this piece of legislation.
