State Secretary with the Health Ministry, sent in court for corruption

Gheorghe Sarb, state secretary with the Health Ministry, was sent in court by prosecutors of the Pitesti Territorial Service of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) for taking bribes. According to DNA sources, Sarb received a bribe consisting in EUR 600 and various food and nonfood products in order to fix a contest. Also charged with bribe taking in the same case are Anca Elena Alexandrescu, executive director with the Arges Public Health Department (DSP), Mioara Bucur, deputy executive director with DSP Arges and Octavian Iordache, deputy economic executive director with DSP Arges. According to the DNA, Anca Elena Alexandrescu was also charged with giving bribes to the president of the National Agency for Medical Drugs and Devices.
