Burberry opens first Romanian outlet

The British luxury brand Burberry will inaugurate its first shop in Romania, in Bucharest, after prolonged vacillation as to the location, most likely on December 19, Oliver Petcu, Managing Director within CPP Luxury Industry Management Consultants, a company initially involved in the project, stated for Money.ro. The shop will open on the premises of the Bucharest Hotel’s old travel agency, that is, on the Luterana Street, behind the Radisson Blu Hotel. The unit will cover approx. 500 sq m. According to some sources on the market, Burberry was initially to open an outlet on Calea Victoriei, where the Stefanel shop stood.  The largest Burberry shop in Eastern Europe is in Warsaw, but its turnover does not surpass EUR 2 M a year. Among Burberry shops in the region, the lowest earnings are reported by those in Belgrade and Budapest.
