Romanian wines winners at INTERWINE 2011 International Fair in China

Five Romanian wine producers took part on November 8-10 in the 7th edition of the INTERWINE 2011 International Wine Fair in Guangzhou, China. This is one of the most important events of its kind meant to promote wine on the Chinese market. According to a communiqué issued by the Economy Ministry, the Sahateni, Jidvei, Murfatlar, Senator Wine and Vinexport Focsani producers presented to local Chinese officials and businessmen over 60 types of wine. Of those, three won medals: Rai de Murfatlar Grand Reserve 2001 (the best sweet wine), Rai de Murfatlar (the best rosy wine) and Nec Ultra Plus Jidvei (the best quality/price). All types were appreciated by visitors and there are premises of seeing export contracts signed for 2012. The international fair consisted of 400 participants from 25 countries.
