The National Museum of the Romanian Peasant (MNTR) is hosting through November 29 the exhibition “Japan’s rebirth after disaster” organised by Japan’s Embassy in Bucharest. The photos shown in the exhibition stand testimony to the dramatic events in the days following the huge tsunami wave in Japan last March and tell the ravishing stories of its survivors, their rescuers, of those who had to abandon their homes and live in special shelters. The photos are provided by the Japanese Ministry of Defence, the Fukushima University, Fukushima Minpo newspaper and the publishing house KK Best Sellers. The exhibition is part of the “Japan Month” cultural event in Bucharest throughout November.
