Double vote in Lower Chamber

Double-voting is seen increasingly often in Parliament. On Tuesday, Democrat-Liberal MP Danut Liga voted for his colleague Valentin Rusu, ‘Gandul’ web daily writes. According to the aforementioned source, one month ago Rusu was seen using Liga’s voting card 26 times. Liga and Rusu are colleagues within the Lower Chamber. Several weeks ago three Social-Democrat MPs voted for several of their colleagues. Mircea Toader, leader of Democrat-Liberal MPs within the Lower Chamber, stated yesterday that he will tell those caught “to stop doing it,” while Mircea Dusa, leader of Social-Democrat MPs, pointed out that he will ask the Juridical Commission to sanction the Social-Democrats that engaged in double-voting. The Permanent Bureau is yet to notify the Juridical Commission.
