Opposition files motion against Transport Min

The representatives of the opposition filed yesterday in the Lower Chamber a motion against Transport Minister Anca Boagiu. The document is titled “Minister Boagiu’s Ribbons” and criticizes the state of infrastructure in Romania, Mediafax reports. The National Liberal Party (PNL) and the Social Democratic Party (PSD) claim that the Democrat-Liberal minister set up a new practice at the Ministry of Transports, that of “cutting ribbons at the inauguration of building sites, as completed roads and highways are out of the questions”. In this context, the opposition calls for Anca Boagiu’s stepping down from the helm of the ministry. The motion would be debated early next week and a final vote on it is scheduled for Tuesday.
