Finance Ministry sells RON 296 M-worth of three-year-bonds

The Public Finance Ministry (MFP) borrowed yesterday RON 296.5 M by selling three-year-bonds, close to the targeted value of RON 300 M, at a slightly ebbing average yield of 7.48 pc, Mediafax reports. Banks subscribed titles worth a total RON 631.5 M, more than double the estimated value of the offer. The Finance Ministry announced it intends to draw RON 4.5bln in November, more than double the amount the Treasury managed to borrow in October, by selling state bonds maturing in less than three years. The next operation is scheduled for Monday and will offer nine-month-certificates, in exchange for which MFP proposes to draw RON 1bln.
