Vienna State Opera prima donna in “Eugene Onegin”

On Saturday, November 19 (6.30pm), opera-lovers are invited to a special event at the Bucharest National Opera (ONB): a presentation of P.I. Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin” starring Romanian-born soprano Elisabeta Marin, prima donna of the Vienna State Opera, as “Tatyana”. The winner of numerous competitions, including the “Mihail Jora” National Singing Competition (2006) and the “Hariclea Darclee” International Singing Competition (2007), the soprano has collaborated throughout her career with the Bucharest National Opera, the Romanian Athenaeum and the Vienna Konzerthaus and has embarked on tours to France and Germany. She collaborated with prestigious conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Marco Armiliato, Adam Fischer, Bertran de Billy, Peter Schneider, Paolo Carignani, Franz Welser-Most, etc. Alongside Elisabeta Marin, the cast includes Iordache Basalic, Lucian Corchis, Maria Jinga, Pompeiu Harasteanu, Ana Maria Comsa, Adriana Alexandru, Florin Diaconescu, Dan Indricau and Anastasia Jinga. The performance will be conducted by Iurie Florea.
