Vodafone to cut roaming charges by 20 pc

As of yesterday, Vodafone offers discount promotional roaming charges to both private and company customers part of the Vodafone Passport offer in 15 European states, according to a press release by the company. Users will therefore be charged roaming tariffs of 0.6 euro/call, down from 0.75 euro (not including VAT) to take advantage of the minimum national charge/minute for the entire duration of the call. The discount also applies to the roaming calls taken. The new offer is available in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Malta, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the UK, which are the most sought-after winter holiday destinations. For roaming users, Vodafone Romania has recently extended to 45 the number of countries to which the Vodafone Passport option is in place, including states from both the EU and elsewhere. The new destinations for which the Vodafone passport option is available are: Croatia, Egypt, Norway, Liechtenstein, Ghana, Hong Kong, Singapore, Reunion, Iceland, India, Malaysia, India and Qatar.
