Music and poetry show at Opera and Ballet Experimental Studio

The show titled “Stai sa-ti spun ceva, stai sa-ti cant ceva…” has at its centre two academics from the Bucharest National Music University (UNMB), the actress Monica Mihaescu and pianist Serban Soreanu, who will offer the public a music and poetry feast. Thought up as an interweaving of poetry and music, featuring piano improvisations and excerpts from the writings of Marina Tsvetaeva, Emily Dickinson, Sergei Esenin, Lucian Blaga, Mihai Eminescu, and others, the performance takes place tonight at 7.30pm at the Bucharest National Opera (ONB)’s Studio Hall.

The show is part of a series organized by ONB’s “Ludovic Spiess” Opera and Ballet Experimental Studio, via the “Music Nights at the Studio” programme in partnership with UNMB. The programme “Music Nights at the Studio” will continue at ONB with other special events, including: “Wagner Night” (a recital dedicated to the great composer Richard Wagner – Thursday, December 8, 7.30pm), “Christ is Born” (a Christmas carols and sacred music recital – Wednesday, December 14, 7.30pm), and “Christmas Night” featuring Felicia Filip (Wednesday, December 21, 7.30pm), a release by the “Ludovic Spiess” Opera and Ballet Experimental Studio informs.
