Police arrested yesterday a 50 y.o. man, who is suspect of murdering former monk Alexe Artion of Constanta. The suspect allegedly killed his victim when Artion proposed him to have a homosexual intercourse with him. As he was drunk, the suspect assaulted the monk with a hammer and a knife, hit him several times in the head, then beheaded the body, put it in a sack and dragged it in the street. According to the prosecutors of the Constanta Tribunal, during the night of 18 to 19 November Ivan and Artion drank together at the home of the former. The headless body of the monk was found Saturday morning by a woman, which saw the blood-stained sack in a ditch, on the outskirts of the Ghindaresti commune, and alerted the authorities. If found guilty, the suspect risks being charged with aggravated murder, a crime punished with life imprisonment, or 15 to 25 years of detention.
