Senate passes by tacit adoption a draft law that declares St Andrew a national holiday

A draft law that amends the Labour Code so that to instate the Saint Andrew holiday, on November 30, a national holiday and non-working day has passed by tacit adoption in the Senate, yesterday. Previously, the members of the Labour Committee had issued a report that rejected the initiative of PNL Senator Emilian Francu, who had justified his idea by saying that this is not just another non-working day, but the day of Romanians living everywhere in the world. The draft law will be sent, in its initial form, to the Chamber of Deputies, which has the final say in this case.
