Volkswagen Golf, 10 pc more expensive on the second-hand market

The average price of Volkswagen Golf cars on the second-hand market has increased by 10 pc in Romania over the last 12 months, reads a press release issued by Auto.ro, based on data provided by AutoIndex. The price hike started from EUR 3,550 in October last year and reached EUR 3,940 last month. Multi-annual statistics have demonstrated that Volkswagen Golf is sold in high numbers on the Romanian market of used cars, with over 44,200 online sale announcements posted on Auto.ro during the last year. “This significant increase of the average price for a Volkswagen Golf is also due to the fact that, this year, the current generation of the German compact (launched in 2009) started being resold as second-hand automobile. It is thus normal for those who sell, to ask higher prices for the vehicles manufactured starting with 2009,” explains Bogdan Axinia, General Manager Auto.ro.
