Ex-Labour Min, appointed chairman of Private Pension Guarantee Fund

The Private Pension System Supervisory Commission’s Board appointed the ex-Labour Minister Mihai Constantin Seitan at the helm of the Guarantee Fund for Private Pension System Rights (FGDSPP) on a four-year term, Mediafax reports. At the same time, the Public Finance Ministry and the Romanian Private Pension Funds’ Association (APAPR) appointed Andrei Ioan Hass and Tudor Mircea Moldovan (ex-head of Generali Romania) their representatives on FGDSPP’s Board of Administration. The Fund is meant to protect the rights of participants and beneficiaries in the private pension system and to make up for potential losses they may sustain.
