Journalist Dumitru Tinu’s son, bit by viper

Andrei Iucinu Tinu (26), the son of the late journalist Dumitru Tinu, killed some years ago in a car accident, was bit on Saturday by a viper and was rushed to the hospital, Mediafax reports. Iucinu’s condition deteriorated on Saturday evening and he underwent emergency surgery at Bucharest’s Floreasca Hospital. Iucinu set up a horned viper farm in 2010, alongside four friends. “The horned viper’s venom is highly popular around the world, especially in Europe. Although it is dangerous and can be lethal to humans, the horned viper’s venom is extremely useful in the pharmaceutical industry,” Iucinu stated at the time.
