Former U. S. President Jimmy Carter greeted Prince and Princess Paul of Romania warmly after Prince Paul had been honored in Beijing and was named as a Friendship Ambassador after several successful protocols had been accomphlished by him. These proved to have been beneficial to Romanian and Chinese relations. Princess Lia had worked in The White House during the Carter Administration.
