Constructors yet to finish Moara Vlasiei-Ploiesti stretch

The National Company of Motorways and National Roads in Romania (CNADNR) has announced that, by Dec 15, construction work at the motorway segment Moara Vlasiei-Ploiesti had only been finished on the section built by Spedition UMB, namely, between 48+200 and km 62+000, HotNews.ro reports. Constructors Euroconstruct Trading 98 SRL and SC Pa&Co International are yet to complete their portion of the work. This will result in CNADNR applying late payment penalties of 0.05 pc/day, for the remainder of the work, until done. The penalties will be calculated by S.C. Consitrans SRL, the consultant chosen to supervise the works.  The deadline for the Moara Vlasiei – Ploiesti section is in the second quarter of 2012. Last May, companies Spedition UMB, Pa&Co International and Euroconstruct Trading pledged to complete work at the portion Moara Vlasiei – Ploiesti by Dec 15, 2011.
