Exchange rate hits a bottom for the last two months – 4.3146 RON/EUR

The National Bank of Romania (BNR) announced yesterday the appreciation of the RON against the EUR by 2.63 Ban (RON 0.0263), to 4.3146 RON/EUR. The EUR thus hit a bottom for the last two months, as a consequence of transfers in this currency made towards the country by Romanians working abroad, Mediafax informs.

The Central Bank posted Friday an exchange rate of 4.3409 RON/EUR, down 0.13 Ban. The previous bottom, under Monday’s figure, was posted by BNR on October 10, when the exchange rate reached 4.3053 RON/EUR. The Romanian currency also appreciated Monday against the USD, which lost 1.81 Ban, down from 3.3308 RON/USD to 3.3127 RON/USD.
