National Szekler Council to award prize to Hungary’s PACE delegation

Izsak Balazs, the President of the National Szekler Council (CNS), announced yesterday during a press conference that this year the Council will offer the ‘Gabor Aron’ Prize to Hungary’s delegation at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), for the support it gave to CNS in the autonomy issue. “The festivity will take place in the first half of 2012, when the delegation will come to the Szekler Land,” Izsak Balazs stated for Mediafax. “Certain amendments to Decision 1832/2011 were introduced in October, amendments that are favourable for CNS,” Izsak Balazs stated. In 2010, CNS offered the ‘Gabor Aron’ Prize to Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament Kover Laszlo. The festivity took place on March 12 this year, in Targu Mures. The prize was awarded “for support given to the Szekler community.”
