PNL Prahova organisation dissolved

After Monday’s meeting of the National Executive Committee (BPC) of the National Liberal Party (PNL) President Crin Antonescu announced that Liberals decided to dissolve the Prahova branch of the PNL and appoint an interim bureau led by former vice-president Mircea Rosca. “The dissolving proposal was passed by secret ballot by the BPC 25-3 and 3 abstentions,” Antonescu said. The PNL leadership had previously decided to sack branch president Adrian Semcu, Antonescu said, who added: “I would formulate the reasons in deadpan fashion. On one hand, the need for the organisation to operate cohesively and efficiently, given the coming electoral year, which could not have happened under the previous conditions. Secondly: the need for those who run the county organisation to really fight against the ruling power,” the PNL president said, adding that the Prahova branch case bears no connection to Dinu Patriciu.
