RBS Romania appoints new President

Henk Paardekooper will become President of RBS Bank (Romania) after receiving the green light from the National Bank of Romania, a press communiqué informs. During the mandate of Johan Gabriels, the current President that has been leading the bank’s operations in Romania since 2009, the bank managed to maintain its net profit in 2009 and 2010, which led to the bank being included among the top most profitable banks in Romania. Henk Paardekooper is a banker specialized in emerging markets and has over 20 years of experience. Henk was previously director of corporate and institutional assets within RBS’s Non-Core Division in London, where he led RBS operations in various countries.
