The Royal Family will spend its winter holidays at its castle in Savarsin (Arad County), as it traditionally does. The Royal Family will be visited by Christmas carol singers, will give presents to needy families, to employees and collaborators and will attend Mass.
According to a communiqué posted on the Royal Family’s website, on December 22 the Majesties and Royal Highnesses will welcome a group of Christmas carol singers from the ‘Sigismund Toduta’ Primary School in Simeria and the ‘Sargetia’ Choir from Deva. On December 23, the Majesties and Royal Highnesses will welcome Christmas carol singers from the ‘Friends of King Michael’ Association along with Arad County officials, the English Kindergarten in Arad and the brass band of a primary school in Teius. On the same day, His Majesty, along with Princess Margareta and Princess Maria, will give Christmas presents to needy families in Savarsin. Later on, the Royal Family will continue to welcome Christmas carol singers. Thus, the castle will be visited by the Choir of the Baptist Church in Sebis, the ‘Hamonia’ Choir from Timisoara and the ‘Meloritm’ group from the Children’s Palace in Bucharest. Visits from Christmas carol singers will continue on Saturday too. Also on Saturday, the Royal Family will give Christmas presents to its Royal Castle and Royal Forest Division employees and collaborators, as well as to the Protection and Guard Service (SPP) employees. On Sunday, December 25, the Royal Family will attend Mass at the Orthodox Church in Savarsin.
