Italian soprano Fiorenza Cedolins at National Opera

Celebrated Italian soprano Fiorenza Ce­dolins will perform for the first time on the stage of the Bucharest National Opera (ONB) in an extraordinary Christmas concert this evening, where she will play Mimi in “La Boheme” by Giacomo Puccini, ONB announced. The concert will be conducted by conductor Vlad Conta. Fiorenza Cedolins, who the “Luciano Pavarotti” international vocal contest in Philadelphia, went on to perform the main role in “Tosca” alongside Luciano Pavarotti.

She also performed at great operatic venues including Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Metropolitan Opera House in New York, Royal Opera House (Covent Garden – London). She received numerous distinctions among which Premio Muse 2009 (Florence); Opera Award 1999; Opera Award 2001; Zenatello Arena di Verona 2000, 2001; “Artist of Year 2007” conferred by “IV and V Piso Association”; Premio Campoamor – “Best Singer of Year 2008”.
