A workgroup for the Szekler land region will be founded in Budapest, within the Forum of Hungarian Representatives of the Carpathian Basin (FRMBC), in order to promote the wish for autonomy inside the European Union, Mediafax quotes the president of the Covasna branch of the Magyar Civic Party (PCM), Kulcsar Terza Jozsef as saying.
According to the source, invitations to attend the congress were extended to representatives of all ethnic Hungarian political organisations of Transylvania and of all the parties present in the Budapest Parliament. The group will have as main purpose promoting the desideratum of Szekler land autonomy within the European Union.
