The Romanian Athenaeum’s Grand Hall hosts tonight, from 7pm, a special New Year’s concert offered by the “George Enescu” Philharmonic’s Orchestra, conducted by the maestro Horia Andreescu.
The programme includes, among other pieces, works by Johannes Brahms, Antonin Dvorak, Jacques Offenbach and Johann Strauss II.
Tickets are available at the Romanian Athenaeum’s box-office, at RON 50 (1st class) and RON 45 (2nd class).
The first concert scheduled for January 2012 is also a special one. The concert to take place on January 5, from 7pm, in the Romanian Athenaeum’s Grand Hall will be conducted by Jin Wang.
The programme will include works by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky – “Polonaise” from “Eugene Onegin”, Antonin Dvorak – “Slavonic Dance no. 10”, Johannes Brahms – “Hungarian Dance no. 6”, Johann Strauss II – “Rosen aus dem Suden”, Franz Liszt – “Mephisto – Waltz no. 1”, Hector Berlioz – “Hungarian March”, Johann Strauss – Overture to the operetta “The Bat”, Johan Strauss – “Donner und Blitz”, “Polka ‘Wiener Blut’”, “Per perpetuum mobile”, “Fruhlingstimmen”, “Champagne Polka”, “Ohne Sorgen Polka”, “Tales from the Vienna Woods”.
Tickets for this concert will be put on sale on January 3 at the Athenaeum’s box-office.
