PM Boc’s father dies

Prime Minister Emil Boc’s father, Ioan Boc, passed away on Tuesday evening at the Cluj-Napoca Recovery Hospital, at 87, after suffering three strokes in the past years. The premier’s father will be buried today in the cemetery of the church in his home village, Rachitele. On Tuesday, at 8 pm, PM Boc was present at Victoria Palace to chair the last Cabinet meeting of the year, which lasted approximately 40 minutes, and then boarded a plane to Cluj-Napoca. According to sources who attended the meeting, quoted by Mediafax, Emil Boc told at the end of the Cabinet meeting, to take care of their parents “as long as they can”, as there’s no knowing what may happen.
