Stefan Stan is “The Voice of Romania”

Stefan Stan was designated “The Voice of Romania” in the grand final of the show broadcasted live on Pro TV on Monday evening, winning the grand prize, worth EUR 100,000. He is also offered the chance to launch an album produced by Universal Music Romania. The other three finalists – Dragos Chircu, Iuliana Puschila and Cristian Sandu – will also have a single (song and video) produced by the same label.

Stefan Stan is 34, lives in Bucharest and was on Smiley’s team in the “Vocea Romaniei” programme. He has been singing since the age of 10, but has never had musical training, as he had to start working on a building site at 16. On account of financial problems, Stefan Stan had various jobs, working at one point in an A/C systems factory.

Stefan Stan said he would donate a large share of the prize to Kassandra Rotariu, “(…) a little girl who sorely needs our help”. “I would use another share of the money to order a large cake for all those who backed me and invest the remaining amount in my musical career,” the winner added.
