Persons with severe handicap, owners of driver’s licenses in Iasi

Labor Ministry inspectors discovered that 931 persons that cannot see, cannot hear or suffer from psychical problems have driver’s licenses, Hotnews informs, quoting the Buna Ziua Iasi (BZI) website. It all started after the special aid offered to persons with handicap was verified, the Labor Ministry’s representatives noticing a series of irregularities and notifying the Labor Ministry through an official address.

“After the verification we proposed the reevaluation of 1,689 persons, most of them listed as suffering from physical handicaps, most of them presenting documents confirming the initial evaluation despite the team’s results. Moreover, we discovered that in the county there are 913 persons that suffer from hearing, visual and psychical handicap but that own driver’s licenses, 60 per cent of them  having valid licenses,” Alexandru Gabriel Grinea, social inspector within the Labor Ministry, stated for bzi.ro. The Ministry is yet to adopt any measure.
