CSM calls on president to send magistrates’ accountability law back into Parliament

The High Council of Magistrates (CSM) decided in yesterday’s weekly meeting to call on the president to send the magistrates’ accountability law back into Parliament so debates on it can be resumed taking into consideration the judiciary’s arguments, Mediafax informs. The Constitutional Court’s Wednesday decision, which validated the magistrates’ accountability law, stirred heated debate in CSM Assembly’s Thursday meeting and the body is to announce whether efforts would be made to “ensure the judiciary power’s independency is maintained”.
