German company Dachser opened a warehouse for dangerous freight near Bucharest, with a total area of approximately 6,500 square meters and a storage capacity of 11,500 pallets, reads a press release. So far, the warehouse is the only of its kind in Romania, and complies with the Seveso II Directive (96/82/EC). It was built with an investment exceeding EUR 10 M. “The Ploiesti facility is an emblematic project in expanding our logistic network at European scale,” said Michael Schilling, Managing Director Dachser European Network Management & Logistics System. “By this commitment, Dachser sets standards for the entire region,” he added. Dachser Romania built the warehouse with support from the Liegl & Dachser company.
