New referendum to change Constitution in Moldova

A new referendum to change the Constitution will be organized in the Republic of Moldova, according to the leaders of the Alliance for European Integration, quoted by daily ‘Evenimentul Zilei.’ The referendum will be organized in April at the latest and is meant to simplify procedures to elect a president and remove a political deadlock that has been going on for almost three years. The announcement came after the Constitutional Court of Moldova ruled that last month’s presidential election was invalid because a number of deputies had violated secret voting procedures, RIA Novosti said.
