Steaua ’86 better than Golden Generation

Steaua’s 1986 dream team, a team that won the European Champions Cup in 1986, defeated Romania’s 1994 dream team, a team that reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup tournament in 1994, in a charity game whose goal was to collect funds for former Steaua player Rotariu’s sick girl. Romanian football experienced at least two exceptional moments in its history. Steaua’s victory against Barcelona in the Champions Cup final in 1986, score 2-0, and the Golden Generation’s successes in the 1990s. Steaua ’86 won the game that brought together giant names of Romanian football such as Piturca (Steaua ’86) and Vladoiu (Golden Generation), score 5-3.
