Bucharest opera-lovers can see Romanian soprano Angela Gheorghiu taking up the title role in the Royal Opera House production of “Adriana Lecovreur”, to be broadcasted by the Bucharest National Opera (ONB) on January 23, the institution informs. The show was recorded at the prestigious London Royal Opera House (Covent Garden) and will be broadcasted on January 23, from 7pm, on ONB’s high-definition screen. Two other internationally-acclaimed artists, Jonas Kauffman and Olga Borodina, appear alongside Angela Gheorghiu in the production, as Maurizio and the Princess de Bouillon. The show is directed by David McVicar. Tickets for these broadcasts, priced RON 45, can be purchased from the ONB box-office, Monday to Sunday, 9am to 1pm and 3pm to 7pm.
