Tarom flight returns to airport because of engine problems

A TAROM airplane that took off yesterday morning from Iasi, with Bucharest as its destination, was forced to return to airport because of technical problems, Mediafax informs. The airplane, which had 25 persons onboard, left from Iasi at 9.25 AM and returned 25 minutes later because of engine problems. The 25 passengers left for Bucharest on another airplane. According to the aforementioned source, Relu Fenechiu, the leader of PNL’s Iasi branch, Grigore Craciunescu, the Liberal mayor of Pascani, and local council member Catalin Tuliuc were on the plane. The three were flying to Bucharest in order to attend the protest meeting organized by USL. This was not the only problem involving a TAROM airplane. On Wednesday evening a Boeing 737-700 airplane with 78 passengers on board, flying from Bucharest to Paris, requested permission to make an emergency landing in Munich after a crack appeared in one of the cockpit windows, libertatea.ro informs. According to the aforementioned source, the passengers arrived safely on the ground.
