Dubioza Kolektiv live concert

Tonight from 9pm, The Silver Church Club hosts the first Bucharest concert ever by a band justly called “the Bosnian sensation”, which is already taking Europe by storm with a music that feeds on the stuff of everyday life: Dubioza Kolektiv!  Their ingredients: a unique musical style, blending genres as diverse as hip-hop, reggae, dub, rock and Bosnian folk music, and a peculiarly Balkan way of partying all night long. The opening act for tonight’s “Balkan Party” is Madame Hooligan, an American-Romanian band (Radu Almasan – vocal, Andrei Cebotari – percussion, David Ballon – electric guitar), whose trademark style is alternative rock with Eastern European influences. They can boast a single album as yet, titled “AntiHeroes”, launched in 2008. Tickets, priced RON 30, are available in a limited number in the Eventim network (Germanos, Orange, Vodafone and Domo shops, Humanitas and Carturesti bookshops and online on www.eventim.ro) and tonight at the entrance.
