According to an opinion poll conducted by the Infopolitic Centre for Studies and Research (CSCI) on January 20-23, the Social-Liberal Union (USL) tops voting intentions with 59 per cent. The poll was ordered by Antena 3 and was presented on Tuesday evening during a talk show. PDL is second with 11 per cent. The big surprise consists of the support that Dan Diaconescu’s People’s Party enjoys, the party totaling 10 per cent of voting intentions and being just 1 per cent behind the ruling party. According to 82 per cent of respondents, the country is heading in the wrong direction.
Curs: USL – 52 pc, PDL+UNPR – 26 per cent in Bucharest
52 per cent of Bucharesters would vote for USL in Parliamentary elections, 26 per cent for PDL+UNPR and 12 per cent for Dan Diaconescu’s party, an opinion poll ordered by the GeoPOL Institute and conducted by CURS on January 9-18 shows. At the same time, 5 per cent would vote for PRM, 2 per cent for PNGCD (party led by Gigi Becali), 2 per cent for PNTCD and 1 per cent for other parties. It is worth pointing out that 75 per cent of the respondents expressed a voting option but that percentage cannot be considered voter turnout.
