“Rock violinist” Nigel Kennedy, first concert ever in Cluj-Napoca

The “rock violinist” Nigel Kennedy will appear for the first time on March 31, 2012, at the Cluj National Theatre, delighting music-lovers with jazz improvisations and covers of hits by the likes of Jimmy Hendrix and The Doors, Mediafax reports. Nigel Kennedy started his musical career at the age of 10, training with the maestro Yehudi Menuhin, who funded his studies, and going on to attend the prestigious Juilliard School of Music in New York.
