Driving a Dacia Lodgy Glace, Alain Prost has won the 2011-2012 season of the Andros Trophy. The competition ended on Saturday, January 28. This was the third season in which Alain Prost drove a Dacia vehicle. In the previous two seasons Alain Prost drove a Dacia Duster. For Dacia this is the first victory in a competition that is as important and known as the Andros Trophy. The competition is also known as Formula 1 on ice.
Unlike the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 seasons when Dacia had only one Duster Ice in the competition, in the season that just ended Dacia had two Lodgy Glace cars and three pilots: Alain Prost, Nicolas Prost and Evens Stievenart. The last two used the same car, alternatively. Evens finished on 5th place in the overall rankings, while Nicolas finished on 10th place. The Dacia Lodgy race car is 4 meters long, 1.9 meters wide and has a 2.5-meter wheelbase. The series model, whose size and weight will be different, will be launched this spring. Lodgy Glace weighs 950 kilograms, has a 25-liter gas tank and a 3-liter engine that gives it 355 HP.
