India won’t cut back on Iran oil imports

India will not cut back on oil imports from Iran, its finance minister said on Monday, according to website ctv.ca. The announcement came as US and the EU announced a ban in oil imports from Iran, in an attempt to make the country give up its nuclear programme. Tehran insists its nuclear programme is destined to peaceful purposes. Meanwhile, Iran’s official news agency reported that the country’s foreign minister has said that inspectors from the U.N.’s nuclear watchdog can extend an ongoing visit to the Islamic Republic.
