Electrica has cancelled the auction to purchase turbine generators for the Frumusita wind park in Galati County, as the offers did not lay out in full the technical conditions concerning links to the power system or failed to meet the standards for the presentation of the total price offered, according to a release remitted yesterday by the electricity company. According to the same source, “the technical complexity of the equipment which is to be purchased, arising from the exigency of norms, the terms of the contract for this specialized energy sector and the fact that the bidders are exclusively foreign companies, made it very difficult to adjust to the standards of public procurement legislation (…) The auction will be resumed as soon as possible and is open to al bidders in the industry”. Electrica estimates that works on this park will be given the green light in June and the first turbines will be set up in the fourth quarter of 2012.
