Romania initiated an issue of bonds in dollars, with a ten-year-maturity term, on the US market, with a 7 pc-coupon, the Finance Ministry state secretary Bogdan Dragoi told Reuters yesterday, Mediafax reports. The main arrangers of the issue are Citi, Deutsche Bank and HSBC. Romania was awarded a “Baa3” rating by Moody’s and a “BBB-“ rating by Fitch, both corresponding to the investment grade category. Only Standard & Poor’s awarded Romania the “BB+” rating, which belongs to the non-investment grade category.
