Former karate world champion commits suicide

Pavel Vancea (47), former world champion and assistant coach of Romania’s national karate team, was found dead in the well of his house in Bihor County at the end of last week, realitatea.net informs. Investigators found a note in which Vancea explained his gesture. The man was married and had two children. President of the UAMT Universitatea Agora Oradea, Vancea was also assistant coach of the national traditional karate team with which he took part in the 20th edition of the European Traditional Karate Championships last year.
