The beloved soprano Leontina Vaduva and the most celebrated Romanian pianist of the day, Horia Mihail, will offer an event-recital in the opening of the MogosoaiaClasic Fest, organized with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute. On Sunday, February 12, from 5pm, in the Mogosoaia Palace’s Rug Hall, the two will delight us with works by George Enescu and Jules Massenet, in a fascinating musical dialogue between master and disciple. Leontina Vaduva and Horia Mihail will be back before the Romanian public after their success on the extraordinary national tour “The Three Divas”. After three seasons which were a treat to music-lovers, the Brancovenian Palaces Cultural Centre organizes, in collaboration with Radio Romania Cultural, the first edition of the MogosoaiaClasic Fest, Hotnews reports. According to the artistic director of the festival, Sebastian Craciun, the Mogosoaia Palace’s Rug Hall will host, February 12 to October 14, 13 concerts bringing before us most tempting programmes and first-rank names of the Romanian and international music scene: the tenor Tiberius Simu from the Leipzig Opera, the Arcadia Quartet, the Musica Viva Trio, the Konik clarinet quartet, flutist Matei Ioachimescu, soprano Sorina Munteanu, pianists Viorela Ciucur, Horia Maxim and Silvia Sbarciu, as well as the ensembles Flauto Dolce, EnChordais (Greece), Baklava (Macedonia), Anatolia (Turkey) and Anton Pann.
