Lindsey Vonn finally mastered the only major downhill still eluding her to record her 50th victory in Garmisch- Partenkirchen, according to Eurosport.
The American went down the Kandahar 2 course in one minute 44.86 seconds for her 25th downhill record win.
With exactly half her career wins in the sport’s most prestigious discipline, Vonnalso became the second most successful downhill specialist behind Austrian Anne- Marie Moser-Proell, who won 62 races overall, 36 of them downhills.
Yet it was a far from perfect performance by the Olympic champion, who was not the fastest in the key flat section at the start and made a huge mistake halfway down.
However, her edge over her rivals was such that it was still enough for victory.
