The Cluj County Council (CJ) is negotiating with India’s Tata Motors automaker its potential investment at the Tetarom 3 Industrial Park in the commune of Jucu, Mediafax reports. “I can’t give you any information on the investment value or the number of jobs stipulated,” Alin Tise, chairman of the CJ Cluj, said. Italy’s De Longhi and Germany’s Bosch have also announced investments in the said location. Tata Motors, India’s largest automotive manufacturers, makes cars, trucks and buses. Last year, the company said it was taking an interest in a potential investment in Cluj. In April 2011, Tise said that Tata Motors “is examining’ possibilities for investing in a local project amounting to “tens of millions of euros”. Tata Motors, a member of the 90-plus-company-strong Tata Group, posted annual revenues in the region of USD 20 bln. Member companies operate in such various fields as IT&C, engineering, materials, services, energy, consumer products and chemicals, and operates in more than 80 countries.
