The director-general of the ArcelorMittal Galati iron and steel plant, Eric Remisz, resigned, only four months after being appointed on this position, for personal reasons “which could no longer be put on hold”, Mediafax reports. “Bruno Ribo, currently the technical director of ArcelorMittal Galati, will take over most of Remisz’s duties until a new director-general is appointed,” the spokesman for the plant, Dorian Dumitrescu, stated yesterday. Coming from outside the group owned by Indian businessman Lakshmi Mittal, Remisz was appointed director-general of ArcelorMittal Galati in October 2011, replacing Thierry Le Gall, which had been at the helm of the plant since 2009.
