The Ministry of Development opened at the end of last week two new ski tracks, an artificial snow installation and a lighting system in the mountain resort of Busteni, following a total investment worth RON 3.7 M, co-financed from European funds through the Regional Operational Programme (POR). The project doubled the area of the ski estate of the resort. The new ski track Kalinderu 2 is 1.2 km long and features artificial snow devices that will allow skiing even when snow is scarce. In addition, a 250 meter long sled track has been arranged in the resort. Also part of the same investment, the old Kalinderu 1 ski track was fitted a lighting system for night skiing. The total value of the project amounts to RON 3.7 M, of which RON 2.5 M was European financing allotted through POR.
