Petrol stations, hit by fuel shortages

Oil companies complain about being unable to transport their products, so they will be forced to close the petrol stations they operate, enational.ro informs. The Rompetrol group already announced that it can no longer carry its products from the Petromidia refinery to storage facilities, and then on to fuel stations. “CFR Marfa stopped the traffic on some railway lines since the beginning of this month (Constanta-Bucharest, for instance) and many national roads are periodically closed. If a solution is not rapidly found to unblock the situation, oil companies risk being unable to replenish their supplies and provide the minimum stocks of fuel needed by consumers for basic operations,” Rompetrol officials warned. Fuel consumption decreased especially in the regions where national and county roads are closed, or traffic is restricted.
