Piturca summons 12 internationals for friendly against Uruguay

National team head coach Victor Piturca has decided to summon 12 Romanian internationals for the friendly against Uruguay (scheduled on February 29, at 8.30 PM, on the National Arena). Piturca has faxed Dorin Goian (Glasgow Rangers FC), Stefan Radu (SS Lazio), Razvan Rat (FC Shakhtar Donetsk), Costin Lazar (PAOK Salonic), Razvan Cocis (FC Rostov), Banel Nicolita (AS Saint-Etienne), Gabriel Andrei Torje (Udinese Calcio), Daniel George Niculae (AS Nancy Lorraine), Bogdan Sorin Stancu (Orduspor Kulubu), Adrian Mutu (AC Cesena), Ciprian Andrei Marica (FC Schalke 04) and Ionut Costinel Mazilu (FC Arsenal Kiev).

On Friday, February 24, the 12 players will receive new faxes that will confirm or revoke the decision, depending on each player’s fitness. The team’s complete extended line-up will be announced on that day too. The players will be reunited on Sunday, February 26, at the Mogosoaia Football Centre and the first training session will take place there at 6 PM.

Uruguay summons Diego Forlan, Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani

Uruguay head coach Oscar Tabarez has announced the line-up with which he will tackle the friendly against Romania. Important players such as Diego Forlan (Inter), Luis Suarez (Liverpool) and Edinson Cavani (Naples) are part of that line-up, Mediafax informs.  Tickets for the game will be put up for sale on February 17 at 11 AM.
